Centrifugal

To connect Site 3 CoLaboratory's clientele with the local community through the central circulation gesture, organization of the spaces and the building's interaction with the ground plane; this is achieved through indoor and outdoor areas, as well as various skylights that pierce into the basement. The building draws inspiration from adjacent detached garages as a way of unifying it with the site. The pergolas act as a transition zone from the street to the interior, while creating a gradient of privacy and activity. The configuration of programming elements reflects the client's four step cycle of create, display, teach, and inspire.
