Second Skin - Samuel Ross

With limited alterations to the existing façade, the proposed structure for Samuel Ross consists of 2 storeys, one for public/semi-private use, and one for private use. Spaces are further defined and created using recycled materials such as fabric, light, and glass to create an environment of layered transparency that supports a strong sense of collaboration and collectivity. Floor to ceiling translucent fabric walls outline central work areas, allowing for natural light to filter in while maintaining a shared environment. Continuous working tables in team spaces such as the freelance, co-working, studio and workshop are used to accommodate working groups of any size. Shared surfaces give the brand an equal opportunity to design, produce work, and hold meetings effectively.
