This project builds upon IRN 101 project 2B, in which I tried to evoke a sense of sight through strong shadows that could be cast on the ground, benches, and those who might pass under the structure. The control of the visual interest in the structure is not only dependent on the structure itself, but also in its ability to work with light. Using rigid lines and cutouts to form the shadows, my goal was to create a space that would draw a viewer in with the curiosity of how the structure plays with light.
