Namaste House

Namaste house is a small, minimal living space designed to provide an escape from the busy city life. It features a small, home yoga studio, it is close to nature and it opens to a small garden. The north side of the building is opened up to a large forest, while the south side is completely closed to ensure privacy from neighboring buildings. The space is flooded with natural light by the addition of oak floor to ceiling windows and a small skylight above the staircase. A small balcony facing the laneway provides private views down St James Court. Wood is used as the main material for both interior and exterior features to give warmth to the space. The house has an open concept allowing adjacent spaces to flow together, while both maintaining a sense of separation, by introducing wood- slatted space dividers on both floors. The soothing colors of the interior and the sounds of the surrounding nature welcomes everyone to experience the Zen.
