Clay Shapes the Eye

This scaffold balances the structure and freedom that the clay forms embody. The main structure is guided by the strength of the thicker dowels, while the lack of grid allows the forms and the thinner lines to freely flow and express the transformations. The colour was chosen to represent the start and end of transformations derived from a collage of the orthographic map. The green represents the start or the original form and then the gray suggests the resting point that the form sits in its imaginary place. The overall structure is dictated by spatial and connected relationships.
