JINS Toronto

As people have shifted to working from home- screen time has increased putting strain on our eyesight and increasing the need for glasses.JINS Toronto is an optical retail store at 165 John Street- reimagined for shopping during a pandemic. The building is divided between public, semiprivate, and private sections and distinguished by materials of varying transparency (frosted glass vs. clear glass). Altogether the store encourages physical distancing with wider paths, a protected separation between staff and customers, contactless ordering, and a rentable second floor gallery space and pop-up kiosk to for local businesses to share their products.
