To Japanese-American sculptor Isamu Noguchi, home is a factory. This study of Isamu Noguchi's Tenth Street, Long Island City studio and home reconstructs the interior of his private multifunctional space within the New York factory retrofit. By method of spatial deduction from photographs and research into written descriptions of his studio, a multidisciplinary approach of 3D modelling and hand illustration synthesizes the space in axonometric and plan views. Insight into his routine, range of work and persona are captured within Noguchi(s) in action and his personal excerpts re-contextualized as daily rituals.
