Floating Day

The proposed installation at High Park is a design striving to achieve the illusion of a floating structure. Two levels with different programming aim to create spaces to distress. The ground level draws association with the natural environment, the second floor features float therapy within 5 private individual float rooms. The structures supporting the second level are small-sized columns set back from the perimeter of the installation, which also forms a labyrinth with the incorporation of benches on the ground floor. The operable translucent perforated screen creates dappled forest lighting while preserving the appearance of the floating box as a solid element.
