With a focus of bringing nature elements through trace and memories into a man-made interior space, a tree subject was selected as a starting point to guide the process. The entirety form of the Blue Spruce tree subject can still be read as a tree regardless of its right side up or upside down orientation. From this, the connection to stalactites and stalagmites was born. Forest of Stalactites is an abstract interpretation of the tree and stalactite form, and through this layered intervention, it seeks to index nature in a corporate office space.
