Our overall narrative shows a progressive timeline through the 1800s, 1950s, and modern day North America through the lens of women's responsibilities within the domestic home. The model home of those deemed as model citizens, shaped the roles of men and women, families and society overall, often placing women and minorities as sites of labour, service, and overwhelming and underappreciated responsibilities. Our episode will leave the viewer to question how our homes have shaped us since the 1800s; similarities and differences formed over the past 200 years.
