Hotel Zen, located at 296 Brunswick Ave, provides authentic Japanese-style experience with Onsen and Meditation feature services. The spatial goal is to use the artificial light designs and the materials like wood and concrete to evoke the Zen emotions to the consumers. The atmosphere I tried to create at Hotel Zen is also telling people to try to live at the moment. Especially with the on-going pandemic situation, the Hotel Zen also wants to introduce that with the fast pace of urban living, one should really slow down once a while, enjoy the retreat, and focus on themselves.
