Sou Fujimoto Inspired Gathering Space

The main structure of our gathering space is created from the use of different sized cubes and rectangular forms stacked randomly on top of each other in various directions and heights. The variation of different placements allow for the possibility to explore within the gathering space, as each angle and corner will provide a unique view. The negative and positive voids create a connection to the exterior environment, framing distinct views. This space is also inspired by the same division of multiple levels by the staggered platforms found in Fujimoto’s “Na House”. The various geometric platforms act as the walls that help to create a sense of semi-confinement.
